We love waterparks and we’ve spent the last 2 Christmas days at Siam park – voted the worlds best water park. So one thing we want to do this year is see if we agree – and that means trying out as many other water parks as we can
Our first waterpark was Raging Waters – California’s biggest (and supposedly best?).
So our honest review: It was ok, but not what we’d expected. The rides were slower and shorter than we are used to, and for how quiet the park was the queues were too long.
A few of the rides were good, Dark Vonn’s Tunnel of Terror was dark and twisty and given it was 2 person we got to share in the fun together. Neptune’s Fury was a 4 person inflatable ride with lots of splashing, but according to the boys wasn’t worth the queue time, but Jon and I enjoyed it.
Speaking to locals and ex staff this place used to be *the* place to go but it seems to have lost its edge. I think that’s to be expected given it’s location is only about 30 mins from both Disney and Universal.
Normally when we go to a waterpark we are the last ones out, the boys asked to leave here after about 2 hours (mainly to get back to the lovely dogs we were petsitting). We really wanted to love this place as we were staying nearby for 10 days and we eagerly bought a season pass so we could often. Unfortunately, we had to coax the boys to try it a second time. I think Siam park has us spoiled!
Offical waterpark rating: 5/10
