Finally meeting in person

Working for Salesforce for the during pandemic meant I had the luxury of working from home, but also the privilege of (virtually) meeting some amazing people. One such individual was Vivek Chawla, based in San Diego. We interacted regularly through work, but never got to meet in real life

Vivek made the rather fine suggestion that we met in ProAbition in Riverside for lunch, where I got to try the house special of Sweet Spicy Brussel Sprouts – and they were amazing! As somebody who who has only had to endure these things once a year on Christmas day, this was a moment that firmly cemented my belief that ‘Anything cooked correctly is a delicacy‘. For anybody who doubts how nice these can be, try them and prepare to be amazed 🙂

As for the fries with truffle oil and Parmesan – *chefs kiss*

I also had the pleasure of meeting Vivek’s equally lovely wife Nina. We chatted about our trip and their own touring round Europe previously. She told me they were both headed to the San Diego Comic-Con just down the road from them – sounds amazing!

As we finished up our meal, some heavily resto-modded cars arrived and parked outside. These were real feats of engineering and beauty, and we spotted a bride getting her pictures getting taken with them

The Mocktails weren’t bad either – cheers!

Thank you Vivek and Nina for a really lovely day – looking forward to catching up again in person soon.

Looking forward to many more of my Salesforce colleagues as part of my own personal Salesforce World Tour
